The “Uber of Agribusiness” Launches Debit Card for Truck Drivers
Sotran has developed an app that connects truck drivers and agribusiness companies — Tmov, which is expected to handle 1 billion reais in transactions over the next 12 months.
Across Brazil’s highways, around 500,000 truck drivers transport soybeans, fertilizers, corn, and other products. However, their work process has remained largely unchanged for decades: agribusiness companies still hire them by phone or WhatsApp, and payments are often made in cash.
A transportation technology company aims to change that scenario with an application that connects truck drivers, freight companies, and agribusiness firms — Tmov.
To make driver payments easier, the company has also launched a debit card, which already has 35,000 active users.
