Executive Board
Transportadora Galiego was founded in 1989. The initial line of business was sand and gravel transportation and earthmoving. As the years progressed and it gained experience, the company seized the opportunity to operate in the road freight transportation segment, focusing on deliveries for a client in the city of São Paulo and the metropolitan region.
After a few years in this segment, the earthmoving activity was extinguished from the companys line of business.
Transportadora Galiego, with the participation of its founder Lauro Galiego, at the time acting as one of the companys drivers and manager, continued in this line of business from 1994 until 2008, and in 2005 there was another
Turning point in the line of business, which was the key to the companys growth.
In 2005, after suffering a huge loss when a truck was stolen in the São Paulo metropolitan area, with the residual value of the equipment, we bought our first crane set. A 1985 Ford truck and a used crane. That was the start of a long journey.
Over the years, by seeking business opportunities and bringing in key people who have added great value to our company, we gradually built Galiego Transportes Pesados , which is now a highly regarded company in the road transport and handling of oversized loads and equipment.
In 2025 it will be 20 years since the start of this new phase.
The company currently has modern equipment, a specialized workforce and a wealth of knowledge in the field. It has its own 10,000-meter headquarters in Jundiaí and a fleet of equipment with an average useful life of 3 years.
Galiego has a policy of constant investment in modernizing and improving its processes, which is why it is on its way to becoming one of the main players in this business segment in Brazil.
